LightBurn 2.2.00 RC-6 is an Early Access release candidate, not a final stable release. Its headline addition is head-mounted camera-assisted Print & Cut, alongside device-support updates and bug fixes.
What’s new in LightBurn 2.2.00 RC-6?
- Head-mounted camera Print & Cut: The new interface can be opened from Window > Camera Print & Cut. You need a compatible camera mounted on the laser head to use this feature.
- xTool and Creality Falcon network devices: Updates to xTool cloud credentials support new firmware, and supported xTool and Creality Falcon network devices can appear in Find My Laser – Search Network.
- Galvo devices: Updates to the Galvo Move window and Z-axis settings for BSL galvo lasers, including configurable homing behavior.
- Bug fixes and refinements: This candidate also includes fixes involving the interface, SVG export, device behavior, and REST API reporting.
Before installing
RC-6 is experimental software and may contain bugs. LightBurn says Early Access builds can be installed side-by-side with the latest official release, so you can switch back to the stable version if needed. Back up project files and test the candidate carefully before relying on it for production work.
Also note that True Nest, a design and layout feature introduced in the LightBurn 2.2 series, is limited to Pro licenses.
